Thanks to my friend Anna, I am now a faithful reader of a couple of food blogs (you can find their websites on the right in my links). I started out just looking at the pretty pictures, but lately I've also been enjoying the stories behind the images, and today I made my very first dish that did not come from a cookbook but from the world wide web: tarte flambée. Tarte flambée is basically a pizza with a creme fraiche base as opposed to the more traditional tomato sauce base. Top it with bacon, caramelized onion and chives and you've got one very happy me!
