Today was Jochem's Late Graduation/Early Birthday Party! It was a great party with lots of family, friends, drinks and food, all stuffed into our little apartment in hot weather. Jochem did most of the work and actually cooked a lot of food - he used Jamie's Italy to prepare stuffed mushrooms, spicy fennel risotto and spaghetti with trapani pesto. He also made a tomato salad from Jamie at Home. For cake, he got some help from Jamie Oliver with a chocolate and sea salt tart and Nigella Lawson assisted in making the cheesecake. We were both so busy hosting, however, that we forgot to take any pictures of all this food that is now completely gone. At least that means that the party was a success. Thanks everyone for coming and sharing our joy!
